Weight loss
I have a special interest in weight loss. Some of the things we talk about
during the initial consultation are the direct link between dieting and depression,
the best thing to do when you feel hungry, how hunger can sometimes be confused
with thirst and the role hypnotherapy plays in helping you to get to the weight
that is right for you.
The only thing you need to bring with you is a mind that is open to new ideas
and a desire to make lasting change.
Smoking
Deciding to become a non-smoker is probably the most important decision you will ever make. We will discuss the reasons why the subconscious encourages the smoking habit and the conscious and unconscious interventions which will be employed to help make smoking a thing of the past.
The only thing you need to bring is a strong conscious desire that this time you really do mean it.
Phobias
During the initial consultation we will talk about what is going on inside
the mind when the phobic response is triggered and the reasons why hypnotherapy
is such an effective intervention. You will gain an understanding as to how
your phobia originated and why phobias can develop later on in life as well
as in childhood. We will compare the drawbacks of avoiding the stimulus as
opposed to the benefits of choosing to make beneficial change.
Anxiety / Anger / Depression
The causes and origins of anxiety, anger and depression will be discussed
during the initial consultation and the positive changes which can be made
to alleviate these debilitating conditions. Effective conscious and unconscious
interventions to get you back to feeling like your old self again can enable
positive ongoing and lasting change. Although this will be mainly future based
it is sometimes necessary to revisit and de-traumatise events from the past.
Confidence
If you are suffering from a lack of confidence or belief in yourself we will
talk about the way hypnotherapy helps with things like examination or driving
test nerves, worries about job interviews or sporting performance. It can
be difficult to achieve something for the first time but once this has happened
it becomes easier to repeat the success. The role the subconscious plays in
this process and how hypnotherapy can help beneficial change to take place
will be explained.
